This was a very interesting site I learned things about Thanksgiving that we didn't learn in school. Or maybe I wasn't listening that day LOL.I found this site very easy to navigate. It was nice to be able to listen while reading the stories
We are learnig about thanksgiveing and so this site was helpfull with completeing a subject outlined by our teacher we also used this site to practice seaching a web blog
This was a very interesting history lesson that I know I learned in school but great to refresh the memory. I wonder how many of todays society would survive in that era.
This was a very interesting read. Read a lot of information on the Pilgrims.They started their trip in 1620 and it took 2 months. The official first Thanksgiving Day was in 1621. Ducks were the main coarse and they were roasted over fire. They also made samp which is a kind of porridge.The main food of the Wampanoag is venision. For entertainment the did target shooting, singing and dancing. These people had a very hard life. We read all about their trip on the Mayflower, which was not a passenger ship.
It was nice to read the Thanksgiving story again. This helps me remember things I have forgotten through the years. I didnt realize that thanksgiving had been for so many days or that it had first been celebrated on a Thursday.
The article on the first Thanksgiving was very interesting.Their journey was quite interesting as well. their culture is quite different than what I remembered years ago when I was in school.Their food was sure different from what we have today for Thanksgiving.
Reading about Thanksgiving and it's history made me glad I was not a Pilgrim or an Indian. The history was very interesting and I did learn a lot about what life at that time was like. I sure would be a lot skinnier if I had to hunt and grow my own food.

I think the first thanksgiving Celebration was a joint giving of resourses from the first nations and the pilgrims who were in the country for a short period of time. We have lots to celebrate therefore all thanks givings should be done in mutual giving.A friend from Cornwall says there is no such thing as an Indian here as the people were only called that because the explorers thought they had reached India. To tag a name onto a people especially a hostile name for years does not make harmony in a country.
